I am allergic to mint and want to whiten my teeth. Is there anysuch product without mint that I can use?
Is there any teeth whitening system without mint?
Mine does not conatin mint. It is called 5 minute whitening gel by Plus White. 1-800-595-6230 www.pluswhite.com call just in case. It is cheap and works well. No trays, etc.
Reply:Commercial tooth whiteners use hydrogen peroxide and
are expensive and inconvenient. A cheap and natural
tooth whitening home remedy uses few strawberries
but certain precautions have to be taken.

Would putting coffee grounds in the soil of a mint plant help the plant grow faster? Or damage the plant?
If I put two teaspons of coffee grounds in the soil of a mint plant, will it help that plant grow faster or, just as importantly, hinder the plant from growing at a regular rate?
Would putting coffee grounds in the soil of a mint plant help the plant grow faster? Or damage the plant?
Probably help it because of acidity. When I was in high school many years ago I worked for a mint grower in southern Wisconsin. The fields were peat ("muck" in the US) which is very acidic.
Watch out where you grow the mint. If in a pot, OK. But if you put it in the wrong part of your garden it will spread very aggressively.
Reply:I'm sure it will not hurt the plant. Coffee grounds could actually help by increasing the organic matter content of the soil and act as a mulch to increase the moisture-holding properties of the soil. The caffeine may actually deter some insects from bothering your plant.

Can one make tea out of straight-up mint?
I have quite a lot of mint growing in my back garden. Can I make tea out of those leaves, or just add a few to the standard tea-from-a-teabag sort?
And, how does one make tea from fresh leaves?
Can one make tea out of straight-up mint?
Yes, you can make tea from straight mint. I used to do it all the time. The fresh leaves can be slowly boiled or heated in water. The result is a wonderful tea. You can dry the leaves and do the same thing, later, when the mint is not in season.
Reply:Oh yes you can make mint tea with the fresh mint leave just add leave to boiling water and simmer for a few Minutes or you can add it to cold water and put on stove to boil .
Reply:My mom does it all the time. She has this cute little thing called a Tea Ball. You put the leaves in it and put it in the cup just like a tea bag. I don't think you'd need one of those though, just put the leaves in and let it steep until its the strength you like. If you don't want to drink little bits of leaves strain it through some cheese clothe.
Reply:I suppose you could do anything if you put your mind to it. Mint isn't toxic or deadly so - Let R' Rip Potato Chip.
Reply:No you cant.... you can make mint flavored water but its technically not tea.
tea comes from a specific leaf and that leaf is used to make green, black and white tea.
mint doesnt have the same properties as the tea leaf like the caffeine content for instance. so really you can only add mint to your "tea" to flavor it.
Reply:i say this is the best way to make tea and it taste great. when i was a little boy my mom would go to her garden and pull some mint leaves when we didn't fill very well and she said it would sooth our stomachs and help us sleep at night so i say go for it and use honey instead of surgar and get the one that is made of 100% honey cause some of them are made with surgar. enjoy!!!!!!
Reply:My mom grew mint when I was a kid. She would cut the plant at ground level in the fall and hang the plant upside down until the leaves were dry. It made great tea.
She never made tea from fresh leaves, but she did use the fresh leaves in lemonade as a garnish. It put a cooling edge to the lemonade.

Reply:I'm not sure about guarana, but the new Icebreakers in the vertical flip-top tin have as much caffeine in three of them as a half-cup of coffee...
Also, there's some gum called Gator that has energy stuff in it...granted, it tastes like absolute crap!
Reply:Very sugary gum.
Reply:mints at wallgreens

How can you make mint tea w/fresh mint leaves?
I want to make mint tea, and have the leaves. I just don't know what to do. Anybody know?
How can you make mint tea w/fresh mint leaves?
place about 6 large leaves in a cup of water bring to a boil. strain and drink. I use honey to sweeten
Reply:Just put the leaves in boiling water, let it boil for like 2 mins add sugar / honey and presto!
Reply:Put around 8 mint leaves in a mortar with a slice of lemon, muddle all together with the pestle then transfer to a glass or mug.
Pour over boiled water and sweeten with honey if you like.
Reply:I take some Karo Syrup and sugar, slowly bring it to a boil in a deep pan, then boil a big tea pot full of water. Then once the sugar is dissolved, I put my Mint leaves in, then fill the pan with the boiling hot water. Then, I let it set for about 20 minutes, strain it out into another pan and there you go, freshly made mint tea for the fraction of the cost of buying it. And, I'm absolutely sure it will taste wonderfu! Hope this helps you to enjoy your tea!
Reply:put the mint in the cup , then add hot water then let it sit for about 2 minutes , then strain
after u strain u sweeten it how u like it
i sweeten mine with condensed milk it is soooo good
very simple !!

Where do I find prices of Highland Mint Commerative Medallions?
I was looking through some collectibles when I was younger and have a Kobe Bryant Commerative Medallion from Highland Mint. Its .999 fine silver numbered out of 3,000. Was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a price guide or the name of the price guide to look up such collectibles. I am having difficulties finding any sort of information on it. Any help would be appreciated.

What kind of mint do you use in mojitos?
Anyone know what kind of mint generally gets used in mojitos? What about Mint Juleps? The recipes generally only say "mint" but you can't just get mint...there are all different kinds.
What kind of mint do you use in mojitos?
Apparently FRESH MINTS. LMAO That appears to be the common answer. Try peppermint or spearmint. Whatever floats your boat.
Reply:http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...
obviously, spearmint.
Reply:Spearmint is typically used for Cuban Mojitos.
Reply:Whatever kind they have at the bar.
Reply:fresh mint leaves... generally available in the fresh herbs %26amp; spices section of your grocery store.
Reply:Fresh mint leaves, usually spearmint.
Reply:YERBA BUENA---- SpeatMint.
++Salud++
Reply:it is fresh mint leaves. you can find them in a little package in the produce department at your grocery store with all the other fresh herbs
i just looked at the one in my fridge, it does not specify whether it is spearmint or peppermint. (based on the scent, i believe it is spearmint.)
Reply:fresh mint leaves, you have to break them up b4 using them...
Reply:Erin, there really is just plain "mint". I grow it in my garden like crazy. Go to the grocery store and look where they stock those little plastic containers of basil, thyme, etc. You should be able to find mint. In the produce section. Good luck.
Reply:Well the right way to make it is with mint sprigs or spearmint leaves but since you're getting so dang mad at everyone for giving you that answer, use creme de menthe.... it won't taste right and probably not good but who cares since you seem to have something against mint.
Did something happen to the spearmint that you said you were growing in your previous question???
Reply:You would need to use fresh mint leaves. You can find them at the grocery store.
Here a website that has a very easy mojito recipe and you can modify it by the amount of servings you want to make.
Have fun!!!

Reply:fresh mint leaves seems to be the popular answer, so that's what I'm going with.
Reply:Go the grocery store and the area where you get fresh herbs, not the spice section where the herbs are dried and in jars, but the section where you find the herbs with leaves on stems. Ask for mint. Just say mint. Yes you can get just mint in this section of the store. That's why every recipe asks for just mint because you can get just mint..
