Do Americans eat Mint Sauce with Roast Lamb or Lamb Chops?
Unlike the UK the virtues of Mint sauce are not as well known here. I am a former chef in Canada and as a matter of fact, I used to make it for one of the restaurants I worked in, the Mint Jelly the others have spoken of is a clearish green, sweet, almost spearmint flavoured jelly.

It is available in the section of the local grocerys stores were they sell the Jams and other preserves, it is a one dimensional food, not something you have with breakfast on your toast with your cuppa and plate of sausage and eggs, would be like drinking mouthwash in your Gin and Tonic.
Reply:yes, you can use it for both
Reply:I've had it with lamb chops.
Reply:If they do I hope its not that pink half cooked style like the British people do. Even the celebrity chefs.
Reply:Yes, we have mint jelly on our lamb and love it!!
Reply:some do yes
Reply:Lamb chops and apple sauce - or mint jelly!! Yumm yumm!!
Reply:Great question, next ask if they have horseradish on beef. I have the stuff on all my meat on a sunday dinner. I have to buy a jar every week when i get the meat for sun. I will be checking for any horse radish q%26amp;a serious just thought you might think I am being silly. I am 100 per cent not anyone who knows me knows I am a horse radish fan.
Reply:yes they do
Reply:I've never seen mint sauce offered with lamb over here.
Reply:Its usually served with rack of lamb at fine restaurants.
