Does anyone know of a product that my daughter can clean her teeth with that does NOT contain mint flavouring?

She has a sensory disorder, an autistic trait which stops her from using everyday products and makes it hard for her to eat normal foods with flavouring (eats very bland foods) Her teeth are suffering because all toothpastes contain mint, except childrens toothpaste which dont give her enough protection from decay. Her gums are developing gigivitis. Please help, she is 15 and needs more confidence with a great smile.

There is a kind of toothpaste called PEELU. It comes in different flavors, but they also carry a "MINT FREE" toothpaste. It is called "unflavored". Hope this helps. Web site on it below.

Reply:My daughter is really picky with toothpastes. It was hard to find one that she did not hate. I finally found Crest Icy Burst Lemon, and she does not hate brushing anymore. Good luck....
Reply:brush with plain baking soda
Reply:"Uncle Thoms of Main" is a good toothpast recommended to patients who do not like or are allergic to mint, it is natual and available at your local drug store. Also Discuss Dental sells toothpaste and mouthwash that has no flavors added but you have to ask your dentist to get it for you. You could try the childrens toothpaste or Crest has cinamon, vanilla and orange flavors. My experience with Asburgers and Autism patients is that they tend to like children's bubble gum toothpast. Good luck.
