I can find no references to it, but I thought I'd heard about this last year, even from the U.S. Mint's site.
Will the mint be issuing a 100th anniversary commemorative St. Gaudens double eagle?
As far as I know the answer is, they won't. I have not seen anything in the coin papers or magazines and something like that would be front page news. The gold bullion coins look like one anyway. I have heard of no change too them.
