Will this work. I wondered whether a good strong brew of mint alone will keep fleas at bay.

No. Try flea powder. Or you can get a liquid you squeeze on the dog once a month that effectively puts the fleas on the pill so they cannot breed. That works too, they soon die out.
Reply:Putting garlic powder on your dogs food will help keep fleas away. I have never heard of using mint leaves before.
